From 5–8 August 2025, the Tropical Infectious Diseases Research & Education Centre (TIDREC), Universiti Malaya, hosted a 4-day Biorisk Management Training Program at Wisma R&D.
A total of 14 participants — including researchers, veterinarians, postgraduate students, and interns — took part in interactive group activities, hands-on practical sessions, and site visits to fully functioning BSL-2 and BSL-3 laboratories. Through these sessions, participants strengthened their understanding and skills in handling infectious agents safely and securely. All participants successfully completed the Biorisk Management System assessment.
