Seminar Highlights: Kaleidoscope of Virus-Like Particles by Prof. Day-Yu Chao

On 11 August 2025, TIDREC, Universiti Malaya, was honoured to host Professor Day-Yu Chao from National Chung Hsing University, Taichung, Taiwan for her seminar "Kaleidoscope of Virus-Like Particles". Prof. Chao, who trained in Epidemiology at National Taiwan University and in Molecular Biology at CDC USA, brought with her extensive experience in zoonotic diseases and vaccine development, focusing on dengue viruses and avian influenza viruses.

As a Visiting Professor at TIDREC, she shared valuable insights on the design and application of virus-like particle (VLP) platforms to advance vaccine and diagnostic development. A big thank you to Prof. Chao for her inspiring talk, and to all attendees for making the seminar a success!
