Successful Completion of the 5-Day Biorisk Management Training Program!
We are thrilled to share that from 24th to 28th July, 2023, the Tropical Infectious Diseases Research & Education Centre (TIDREC) organized a highly informative and engaging Biorisk Management Training Program at Wisma R&D, Universiti Malaya. 
With 19 enthusiastic participants from diverse backgrounds, including postgraduate students and medical practitioners, this training aimed to raise awareness about the crucial concepts of biosafety and biosecurity in laboratory settings.Throughout the 5-day program, attendees were immersed in interactive group activities and hands-on practical sessions, ensuring they gained valuable insights into safe handling and management of infectious agents. The highlight of the training was the opportunity for participants to experience the Mock Lab, simulating real-world scenarios, and a site visit to fully functioning BSL 2 and BSL 3 laboratories. These experiences further enhanced their understanding of best practices in biorisk management.
We are proud to announce that all participants successfully completed the assessment on the biorisk management system, demonstrating their newfound expertise and commitment to safety in their workplaces.
