A total 35 undergraduate students (Foundation in Science and Medical Biotechnology) and 5 lecturers from International Medical University (IMU) visited TIDREC Mock Lab BSL3 training facility to learn about biosafety and biosecurity.
The training started with introduction on TIDREC research program and introduction to key principles of biosafety and biosecurity, followed by visit to Mock Lab BSL3. Participants also gained new insight on BSL3 lab setting with differential pressure, gauges, and PPE. The training also consists of interactive activities such gross contamination activity and learn on how to remove glove safely.
