TIDREC Welcomes Distinguished Visit from Russian Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education

We were honoured to receive His Excellency Ayrat Rinatovich GATIATOV, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, during his official courtesy visit to Universiti Malaya on Wednesday, 30 April 2025.

As part of the visit, His Excellency toured the Tropical Infectious Diseases Research & Education Centre (TIDREC), one of Malaysia’s recognised Higher Institution Centres of Excellence (HICoE). This visit underscored TIDREC’s pivotal role in global health research and our commitment to combating emerging infectious diseases through science, innovation, and international collaboration.

We look forward to fostering deeper partnerships that push the boundaries of infectious disease research on a global scale.
